Safeguard the future of endangered species

The humpback whale, the giant panda, the mountain gorilla - can you imagine a world without them? It would be an infinitely poorer place.

For over forty years WWF has funded highly successful initiatives to ensure the survival of the world's most iconic species. Yet the truth is that poaching, habitat loss and climate change are pushing many to the brink of extinction.

In years to come, conserving the Earth's biodiversity will remain at the heart of our work. With a gift in your will you could help to fund our North-East Atlantic Marine Programme which is fighting to protect the whales, dolphins, seabirds, sharks, and fish in UK waters.

You could ensure that tomorrow's world will still be home to today's magnificent and beautiful animals.

Give fragile habitats your protection

Our planet's natural environment has never faced a greater threat. Increasing temperatures are melting the ice caps, the oceans are being over-fished and the world's great tropical forests are being destroyed at an alarming rate. WWF is combating these threats head-on.

A gift in your will could help to support an ambitious series of global conservation initiatives which aim to safeguard the future of the natural world. The first of these is in the Amazon. The aim is to develop a huge network of protected areas that will total a vast 10 million hectares (an area five times the size of Wales) and to improve the management of a further 20 million hectares of rainforest that is already protected.

Help communities to thrive

WWF firmly believes in educating and empowering local communities so that they can benefit from and live in harmony with their environment.

A gift in your will could help more Amazonian communities to produce timber and harvest forest foodstuffs under Forest Stewardship Council standards. This guarantees good and sustainable forest management while enabling local farmers to obtain better prices for their timber and other produce.

Work locally on a global scale

WWF has been working for over forty years to protect and conserve our living planet. We are the world's largest and most experienced independent conservation organisation. WWF works with international bodies such as the World Bank, national governments and local communities in more than 90 countries.

We have enjoyed countless successes from protecting the Siberian tiger to our ongoing initiative to safeguard the most biologically diverse regions of our world in a global network of protected areas.

You could help us work in partnership with national governments as we did on the Heart of Borneo initiative. Equally you could help Brazil nut farmers in the Amazon to cut the use of pesticides and sell their harvest for a higher price.

Give our world the protection it needs

Including WWF in your will is the easy way to leave an incredible gift to future generations - a world where they can live and thrive.

By supporting us in this inspiring way, you will help WWF to continue vital conservation projects around the world. You will help us to tackle climate change, protect endangered habitats and safeguard the future of animals on the verge of extinction.

A third of our income from supporters already comes from legacies kindly left by people like you. Without these funds in the future, we simply won't be able to continue our vital work and meet the greater challenges facing our planet.

Please help to protect the future of our world with a gift in your will.
