What the papers say (or not) about Climategate

Today the world's media reported on the result of the final enquiry into the so called 'Climategate' story.
The Independent:
'Conspiracy theories finally laid to rest' by report on leaked climate change emails
The Guardian:
Climategate scientists cleared of manipulating data on global warming
The Financial Times:
Gloom lifts for embattled scientists
The Times:
Climate row scientists 'Acted honestly but damaged public trust by witholding data'
The Daily Mail:
Secretive and unhelpful. But scientist in Climategate storm still gets his job back
The Express:
Scientists hid doubts over global warming
The lazy way to view those headlines is 'of course the Guardian/ Daily Mail would say that, wouldn't they'. But I don't know of any newspaper that would take the opposite view to the majority of its readership.
The reason I point this out is not to favour one paper over another, but more to point out the importance of peer-to-peer communication (otherwise known as talking to your mates) in tackling climate change.
Most of us will trust a well-informed friend more than any other source. So if we want to break the climate debate out of its silos, it's up to all of us to be well informed, get a couple of espressos inside us and start talking...
